Thor: Ragnarok
If there is one criticism that has plagued movies within the Marvel Cinematic Universe , it ’s that the villains in each private picture ( and the larger narrative ) have not been at the level they could be . Antagonists like Red Skull , Alexander Pierce , and Ultron were just , yet too chop-chop defeated , while Whiplash , Yellowjacket , or Ronan could have been better given more screen time , and there are also big dashing hopes such as Malekith or the Mandarin . Each of these have left viewers wanting more from the foeman , but perhaps the only exception to this rule is Loki .
Tom Hiddleston quickly became a fan - favorite actor not only for his personal magnetism off - concealment , but also for the way he used it to portray a complex , wizardly , and now and then sympathetic scoundrel . Loki has so far caused quite a bit of worry , not only for his stepbrother Thor but for the Avengers as a whole , and he is not done just yet .
Hiddleston take to hisInstagrampage to reveal that he has once again suited up to represent the god of mischief , but this time for his function inThor : Ragnarok . This will mark his fourth appearance as the fictitious character , pursue appearances inThor , The Avengers , andThor : The Dark World .

Hiddleston ’s affaire in theThor : Ragnarokshould not hail as a surprise Arthur Ashe was substantiate on the cast listearlier this year , but this is the first trope we ’ve seen of the actor on set . The exposure itself does not expose much of anything , but it is always squeamish to see a popular actor back in the MCU and frantic to be there . Then again , he could just be excited to eat up up his contract with Marvel Studios , exclude an appearance inAvengers : Infinity Waror its as - yet ungentle subsequence .
Loki ’s role has so far been kept under wraps , outside of check that he will be once again be a spikelet in Thor ’s side . After all , the last metre we insure Loki he was posing as Odin on the can of Asgard , and that ruse can surely only last for so long . It is unclear if Thor will find out this on his own , or if the impending attack of Hela ( Cate Blanchett ) will squeeze Loki to show his dead on target descriptor . However , that could all be part of Loki ’s masterplan should it be revealed that the two are knead together .
