With Comic - Con and D23 on the celestial horizon , fan will soon learn a lot more about Marvel ’s forthcoming slate of films . primary among them will beThor : Ragnarok , set to premiere this November . Not only willRagnarokwrap up theThormovie trilogy , it will also upend much of the MCU to date . belike , one of the big reveals in the film will be that of the last Infinity Stone . There have also been mite that Hela ’s ( Cate Blanchett ) destruction of Mjolnir will be lasting in the motion picture .

Long presumed to be inRagnarok , Surtur has a number of connection to the comic cataclysm of the same name . Ruling over the fiery kingdom off Muspelheim , fans have suspected that is where Thor is chained up in the opening of theRagnarokteaser . Now , thanks to the toyline reveal ( see below ) , that seems all the more likely .
The full toyline showcases a identification number of cool figures and also discover some more aliens ( giant wanderer with sword arms , anyone ? ) and a Celestial . While the latter could have ties to the Infinity Stone , Surtur ’s cellular inclusion showcases just how big of a deal the upshot inRagnarokwill be to the MCU .
It ’s unclear what office Surtur will roleplay in the plastic film , given that Hela seems to be the enceinte defective - though it ’s bound to be significant , give his comic story . As Loki release of Surtur in the comics brings about Ragnarok , perhaps the rapscallion will hit a raft with both the fiery scoundrel and Hela . Then again , Surtur could be downgrade to a unsubdivided threat that we see Thor face near the beginning of the film . While that latter idea might anger some fans , it would n’t be the first time Marvel has slay a major comic villain in a frivolous fashion on the big projection screen .
