Tessa Thompson ’s Valkyrie and Simons Missick ’s Misty Knight will team up up one day in the Marvel Cinematic Universe , if the actress have any say in the matter . Valkyrie has yet to debut formally within the MCU , but will do so later this year whenThor : Ragnarokhits theaters . Misty on the other hand , debut last year inLuke Cageand will return inThe Defendersthis summer .
While the two character are currently worlds apart in the MCU and engage under different sections of the Marvel umbrella - Valkyrie is with Marvel Studios ; Misty comes from Marvel Television and Netflix - the two were at one time teammates on the Marvel comic book page . With both grapheme now part of Marvel ’s movie / TV macrocosm , both Thompson and Missick are down for a crossover .

This is hardly the first prison term that MCU actors have press out a desire to see the movie and TV side hybridise over , but alas , it is something that has still yet to happen - exterior of sure MCU motion-picture show character appearances onAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D.The source of this crossover choice comes from various storylines within Marvel comics , but mainly from Valkyrie ’s metre as a fellow member of the Defenders alongside Misty .
Even though both actresses are in public behind this happening , the actual chance of it happen is not very high . Unless in the aftermath ofRagnarok , Valkyrie is ground on Earth , a crossover voter would not make sense . Plus , Marvel Studios would have to decide to let a potential newfangled devotee favorite character and potential successor for Thor spend clock time aside from the movies to make an appearance on Netflix . Even though Thompson is breaking through on the big screen door , she also has drop a lot of time on television receiver , most late withWestworld- so have that change is certainly not something she would be against , but the divide in the Marvel offices may keep this from happen .
