Thor: Ragnarok
Thor : Ragnarokis has made a name for itself , not only for being a really good Marvel movie but also the funniest entry in the MCU so far . Director Taika Waititi has , effectively , relaunched theThorfranchise withRagnarok , aim it in a direction that is much more akin to the drollery we ’ve see withGuardians of the Galaxy- and , boy , does it work ! Here are some of the funniest present moment the movie has to volunteer .
ThatPlay withThatCameo
Loki has been disguising himself as Odin for yr now , and whenRagnarokopens , he sits merrily on the throne of Asgard , watching a gaming . The play in query is a dramatic retelling of Thor and Loki ’s report fromThor : Dark World , with some heavy bias towards Loki , of course . play Loki as the champion only Loki himself call back he should be , is none other thanMatt Damon . As in , theMatt Damon . Not only that , but Luke Hemsworth plays Thor , while Sam Neill take on the part of Odin . The tantrum is funny in itself , but even risible only because no one was expecting Matt Damon to come along in the MCU in such a brilliant gag role .
Doctor Strange Hates Loki
Hemsworth appeared inDoctor Strange ’s mid - credits scene , and we return to that moment inRagnarok . Standing on the street of New York , Loki is suddenly whisked away , while Thor is taken to see Strange . He ’s submit to all sorts of mind tricks , teleported from one location to the next and nearly destroying much of the Sanctum Sanctorum in the process , although it ’s Loki who bear the most .
" I have been falling for thirty minutes , " he screams when he ’s eventually brought into the scene by Strange . Now we ’d bear to see that One Shot .
Korg
Let ’s be real ; we could write an entire article on why Korg is one of the best lineament to ever enter the MCU.Ragnarokis a funny picture show anyway , but Korg just makes it a million times good . The Brobdingnagian stone behemoth is voiced by Waititi himself , and the one - liner come thick and fast . From his initial joke about him only being a danger to scissors to his in - astuteness description of the gyration pamphlets he had impress , Korg is a riot from beginning to end . He also has real heart , which give him an supererogatory dimension and get to him that much more lovable .
Korg’s Confusion

In the secret plan , he ’s not a good guy , but he ’s so hilarious that you end up thinking he ’s brilliant anyway . Goldblum is a hugely talented doer , and when a purpose like this total along , we ’re all cue what earn him so absolutely watchable .
Hulk and Thor Fight
We knew this was coming , of course , but it ’s still a fabulously fun conniption . Thor enters the arena for thecontest of champions , not knowing what he ’s about to come up against . He throws Thor around like a ragdoll and even Thor ’s desperate " sun ’s going down , big guy " has no effect . But while Thor is getting a beating , Loki is utterly thrilled . " That ’s what that feels like ! " he yells , and he should acknowledge … Hulk used exactly the same moves on him inThe Avengers .
Get Help
Loki and Thor might have their moments ( or several of them ) but they are , of grade , brothers . It seems only natural , then , that they should come up with a few sibling tricks ; although we ’re not sure any are quite as splendid as " Get Help " . Thor suggest this while springing the Grandmaster ’s castle , but Loki is reluctant . In fact , he beg Thor not to do it , but his brother insists . And what is " Get Help " ? It involves Thor pretending that Loki is in peril , and has pass out . hang back his body , he calls to the guards to " get help ! " then right away bemuse Loki at them , distracting them long enough for both to overpower them .
Bruce Banner’s Facepalm
As the battle for Asgard escalates , Bruce Banner realizes that the only way to stop Fenris Wolf from savaging the Asgardians , is to start from Valkyrie ’s aircraft and soil as the Hulk . That does n’t quite go to plan : he landed as Banner in a massive facepalm that must ’ve injure for Day to come . He did transubstantiate , and he was awesome in battle , but it was a little too previous for the scientist . Of course , maybe we should have seen this coming - the same affair occur inThe unbelievable Hulk .
Miek’s Dead
Miek is Korg ’s favourite , and during the battle for Asgard , the monolithic rock monster , unfortunately , steps on and kill him . We ’re only made aware of this when Korg excuse that he ’s run Miek ’s stiff around out of guilty conscience at the very end of the film . That ’s funny enough , but then Miek then be active and it ’s revealed that he is , in fact , alive . A perfect scene to total at the death of a brilliant motion picture .
