The Boys
This article contains spoilers from The Boys season 4 finale .
Summary
The Boysstar Susan Heyward discusses if her character , Sister Sage , is array with Homelander ’s notion that supes are superior to humans . Since the root of the Prime Video series , Homelander has seen himself as a god , frustrated with having to interact with and at times even gruntle mere mortal . salvia ’s provision helped Homelander affirm his ideologyacross the United States of America , culminating inHomelander controlling President Calhoun , while 100 of supes carry out martial law with legal authorisation .
Boy , that ’s two big question . I ’ll fix the second question first about her end game being the same as Homelander ’s . To me , dubious . Mostly because she ’s the one introducing him to this level of thinking . His level of thinking was to take over Vought and be in charge of that capitalistic entertainment pudding stone , and I cerebrate Sage is the one who ’s thinking on a gamey level that she ’s taking him to . So I would not lean towards their end game being the same because she ’s the one who ’s kind of introducing him to a new landscape . And then , that first question , I have to admit , I go back and forward , because part of the fun of Sage is you never really quite know what her genuine ideals are , and there ’s definitely a part of me that hopes , for Season 5 , we feel out that it ’s all been an act , and she actually is classless and need to protect humanity , as well . But it ’s also really fun to get a unlike supremacist ideology , even a fancied one , because in the existent macrocosm , the supremacist ideologies are pretty cheerless to take heed to . So at least this one is fake and can give us some entertainment .
Will Sage And Homelander Be Fully Aligned In Season 5?
Their Mutually Beneficial Agreement May Not Last.
Despite Homelander ’s alone powers , he may be outmatched by Sage , as Heyward points out that Homelander ’s thinking is severely confine without her .
The Boysseason 4 endingseems to paint a picture thatSage and Homelander ’s partnership will continue into season 5 , as they both get what they desire in the end , and Sage tells Homelander to prepare for Phase Two of her plan . Their partnership can continue to be mutually beneficial as Homelander gets to feel like a god , and Sage gets to put her radical possibility to the test . Their end game may not be aline , but that does not matter as long as their quid pro quo arrangement continue .
The Boys just see one of its main human characters plow themselves into a supe , with this being one of the most exciting parts of the finale .
Heyward does submit a tantalizing possibility thatSage and Homelander will be in conflict with each otherinThe Boysseason 5 , whether it be that Sage unwrap herself to secretly be egalitarian , or that she contain work with Homelander once he is no longer useful to her . Sage suddenly require to protect humanity is unlikely , but there is meritoriousness to the idea of her and Homelander turn against each other . Despite Homelander ’s unparalleled powers , he may be surpass by Sage , as Heyward points out that Homelander ’s thought process is severely set without her .
In season 4 , installment 6 , " unsporting Business , " Homelander struggles to execute the plan without Sage ’s guidance while her head is reforming .
This could raise the wager in the net season , with the Boys make to administer with Homelander and Sage at war with each other , or evenSage becoming a great threat than Homelander . While Homelander is impulsive , he is more predictable , as he will always choose the option he believes will give him immediate satisfaction . Sage , on the other paw , is far more irregular and may become even more dangerous if she go forward her architectural plan without Homelander inThe Boysseason 5 .
