Summary
Our Flag Means Deathseason 2 proved that David Jenkins ’ take on the life of far-famed plagiarist Stede Bonnet and Edward Teach , aka Blackbeard , could expand its scope without sacrificing the gist or humor that made it resonate with viewer in the first place . After a tumultuous separation , Taika Waititi ’s Blackbeard and Rhys Darby ’s Stede Bonnet found themselves back at the marrow of their own passion story , even as newfangled characters and post put them and their crews to the test . The two leading human being face their own fiend and failures , at long last deciding to accept themselves , and each other , despite them all .

They must be think , “ Oh , this is amazing , but surely [ in ] the next two days , or within a workweek , there ’s going to be someone knocking at the door with a massive gunman face [ us ] . ” There ’s such a large phantasy element to the show , a romantic , beautiful element to it—‘What if?’—but at the end of the sidereal day , I think we can either leave it there or , realistically , they ’d be pull straight back into a position .
Why Stede Could Be The One To End The Relationship In Our Flag Means Death Season 3
As much as Stede Bonnet and Edward Teach are understandably invested in seeing where their love may take them , they are far from each other ’s first — and even only — erotic love . Stede Bonnet was attracted to the idea of a seafaring life , but went on to discover more than that in the crowd that became his find family . InRhys Darby ’s consultation withScreen Rant , the thespian also shared that Bonnet ’s gang could be a powerful pull away from any life he may create with Ed Teach .
Rhys Darby : Also , both of them — but mainly Stede — would be imagine about that gang , and cerebrate about those hombre who are basically his family . At the end ofOur Flag intend Deathseason 2 , Bonnet is in a completely dissimilar position than he was at the beginning of season 1 — one in which he feels barren to be himself — but his action have proved that he is capable of black market from something to serve a different imaginativeness of his life ; for example , one back on the seas with his former crew . It ’s more ambiguous whether Blackbeard can do the same , as the pirate is n’t have a go at it to back out of a situation .
David Jenkins has bring out thatOur Flag intend Deathseason 3 would end the show , and if the show continues down its ( at least semi- ) historically precise path , Edward Teach and Stede Bonnet will have to separate before they eventually forgather their several ending . As Darby mentioned , the two pirates are wanted man ; Stede could decide to bequeath Edward based on an idea that Teach would be safer on his own . Again , that may make more sense than Edward leaving Stede given how each part has been portray this far .
