Screen Rant : I was just speaking with Jim Krieg about this before I got on , but one of the things that stands out withJustice League : Crisis On Infinite earth , Part Three , is how this is Kevin Conroy ’s last time as Batman .
Butch Lukic : Yeah , again , it was n’t expected that would be Kevin ’s lose performance and obviously probably Mark Hamill , but that ’s how it turned out .
How was it set about to be the creative squad to feature his version of Batman one last time ?

Butch Lukic : I ’m glad that it was someone , one of us from the original Batman : The Animated Series that fetch to do it and has worked with Kevin for the last 30 years on different reading . I ’m glad it was one of us , at least , that arrive to do this finale for him and the fans . But again , it was n’t intended , it was just part of the plot line that we knew we were go to do , to be [ one ] universe , and it was going to still be a squeamish , glorious thing for Batman and the Joker and that universe . But as you know , with DC Universe stuff , you’re able to always get it back . But now alas , what ’s happen and Kevin pass on away , that ’s really the last time we ever will see him in that role .
Paying Tribute To Multiple DC Animated Universes
With the many universes we saw get observe inJustice League : Crisis On Infinite Earths , Part Three , was there one that you were most passionate about include , and were there ones that you wish you could have featured ?
Butch Lukic : Obviously , it was the Batman : The Animated Series that ’s the one that we wanted to have more bulge because that ’s the only one that we gave talks to . The others … I was hesitant with the Super Friends because I imagine it might be too jokey , but I think we handle it pretty safe and more adult oriented than what the real toon was . The other ones I had to figure out , and how many do we take that ’s going to make it pay off ?
Because if you give too many … we were also thinking [ of ] Young Justice , but it just ended up , ' Well , if we go that far , have we run too far ? ' Then some of the other one were actually , ' well , I do n’t desire to get into Teen Titans Go ! , ' because that ’s way too cartoony for where we ’re at , just to pop something like that in would make it look farcical . We would obviously concerned about even Batman : The Animated Series . The style that we are doing worked with that style , but know that it ’s a different universe , it works . I felt if we went too far with the cartoony stuff , it would n’t pay off consider where we were with the taradiddle at the time where everything was dour .

I was spellbound with how you guys brought in Super Friends , did you have to go about it a different way to still make it look like the original series , but also somehow make it fit into the Tomorrowverse - dash ?
Butch Lukic : essentially , we did n’t alter anything as far as that style . The backgrounds are Super Friends , and the eccentric designs are precisely what we have in a vault of the original pattern . We also paint the background , we make over the background , but we painted it exactly like what the original serial was . The same [ thing ] with Batman : The Animated Series , Justice League Unlimited , we just took the original models . We did n’t tell abroad to add the thick-skulled line around it , but they did , and they kind of keep it close to where we were in style . So otherwise , it looks on the button like what the original series all of them were .
Will AJustice League: Crisis On Infinite EarthsSuper Cut Ever Be Released?
I asked Jim this too and I want to get your take on it , any probability we may get a coalesce versions of all theJustice League : Crisis On Infinite Earthsparts ?
Butch Lukic : We did a three - one motion picture cut for all three , so that will be out , is that what you ’re asking ? Yeah , it ’s official , we did a cut that fuses all three picture show together . I monger something a while back when these things were finishing to do something more retro , but I do n’t know if that ’s ever going to come about . What ’s important right on now is the James Gunn macrocosm , and for them to see that through , and hopefully , it ’s tremendously successful and it exploit well .
A Potential Future In James Gunn’s DC Universe
On that note , would you need to get involved with James Gunn ’s DC Universe in any content after complete the Tomorrowverse ?
Butch Lukic : Yeah . I think , I would work on James Gunn ’s animated existence , sure , if that ’s cave in to me . But justly now , I think , the aim for the Tomorrowverse was , that ’s it . You finish it , and it does n’t go further than that . But as far as any talk later of continuity beyond that , there is none . But DC have the property ; they own the report . They own the then motion picture . If they require to do offshoots , eventually , they ’ll do it .
We ’ll just see how it work in the next few eld as far as if sports fan think it was good than what they earlier thought or not . If it is n’t , then it ’ll just stay in the junk spinner history . But then again , you ’ve had Batman : The Animated Series , the most beloved DC animated affair that they ’ve ever had , but they ’ve never depart back to remake it . Except [ for ] now Batman : Caped Crusader , but that ’s not really the same thing .
