When Janine was first introduced in the originalGhostbustersmovie , she was the team ’s secretary . She suffice the Ghostbusters ’ phone calls in a droll , sarcastic shade and she was consistently rude to all their possible customers . This was a playfulness running jape – and Potts did a great task with Janine ’s sardonic attitude – butit would ’ve been dissatisfactory if Janine was still organize their calendar and answering their phones after all these years . Instead , Frozen Empirefinally makes Janine an official Ghostbuster with her own uniform and everything .
In the final battle ofGhostbusters : Frozen Empire , Phoebe and the new Ghostbusters engagement alongside Janine and the O.G. Ghostbusters to vanquish Garraka from New York . Although I did n’t love the moving-picture show as a whole , it did warm my heart to see Phoebe ’s kin help her with the proton pack , and I make a fluttering of nostalgia when I see Murray , Aykroyd , and Hudson in their old uniform . Butthere was something even more special about seeing Janine in a jump suit , fighting alongside the bozo she used to respond the phone for .
