The main fictitious character were receive to Villa Santa because Leonardo wanted the most striking family of Firenze to break away the canker . Leonardo invited his full cousin Eduardo and his family to the villa , but only he and his girl , Filomena , were still animated . Eduardo was quickly pass away from the disease , and Filomena check the invitation as a hazard for freedom .
Filomena told Licisca that Eduardo had died and convinced her that they should go to Villa Santa . A group of thieves come at the villa at the end ofThe Decameronepisode 1 , causing a big scrap between them and the guests . When Neifile was fighting off an assaulter , she recognized him as Cardinal Agnolo . He told her he ’d twist to a life of crime because God had abandoned them .
Just after Cardinal Agnolo said they would leave , he unwrap he had pestilence . Afraid it would infect them , Licisca repeatedly stabbed him to death as everyone watch in repulsion . This was n’t the first metre Licisca was overtaken by rage , as she ’d push Filomena over a bridge on their way to Villa Santa when she tried to slip her wampum .

Murdered By Misia
With Ruggiero ’s gang dead and the mystery about Leonardo out , Pampinea seek to win over him to let her become an heir of Villa Santa . This included a marriage proposal which he swiftly reject . Pampinea was distraught at the estimation of losing the villa after she ’d already lost Leonardo and manipulated Misia into help her .
When Misia brought Ruggiero intellectual nourishment , she confessed to him that Pampinea need her to stamp out him . Misia say she did n’t want to and she wanted to go away the villa . She severalise him she would n’t “ pull through ” killing him , suggesting she was n’t survive to . However , when he hurtle at her , she stabbed him in ego - defense .

Murdered By The Monk’s Knights
While Licisca murdered Cardinal Agnolo , the two thieves who came with him to Villa Santa somehow got away . They re-emerge inThe Decameronepisode 6 when they encountered Licisca and Filomena , who were part from the radical when they were deport . They nobble the woman , but the monk ’s knight make it and murdered them .
The knights did n’t necessarily save Licisca and Filomena though . Rather , they brought them to be judged by the Thelonious Sphere Monk on whether they were godly enough to live . When they learned Licisca killed Cardinal Agnolo , the women were sentenced to last . Fortunately , they managed to escape , but not without Licisca taking an arrow to her leg .
10Neifile
When Ruggiero gave Neifile the alternative to last out at the villa or leave with her married man , Panfilo , and the others , she choose to stay . Though she ’d vow to stay celibate , she had sex with Ruggiero . While she survived the dark , unlike Dioneo , she had been infected with the pestilence .
Neifile did n’t perish instantly , and she and Panfilo spentThe Decameronepisode 6 together , drench up their final second together . She wanted to check that Panfilo could keep the villa when she was gone . Panfilo test keep Ruggiero ’s slaying from Neifile , but she could smell he was lying . As such , she died scared about Panfilo ’s future tense .
No matter how much a character is lie with , sometimes for the plot of ground to advance right , they have to be killed off and impart the show for good .
