John ultimately snaps out of it , only for a demonstration of Olgrun to attack Green Lantern . The Revenant Queen show John to the far side of the DC Universe where he was rescued by Byla - Voq , another Old God who was using his power to keep Olgrun ’s force within the eery Dark Star of the Fenn . Byla secern John everything he needed to jazz about Olgrun , include how he could perchance fold the Dark Star for good . With no other alternative , Green Lantern ventured into the Dark Star to retrieve the ring that once belonged to Olgrun ’s daughterand shut off his connection to the survive world for good .
