In an audience withComicBook.com , Brown reveals he would be interested in returning as Surtur . Brown explains that his role was mostly bound to a voiceover and that he ’d only been signed to appear inThor : Ragnarok . To that end , he bring up that he would be loose to coming back if Marvel reach out out , although he does n’t consider the issue too " large a deal . “you could see Brown ’s full statement on Surtur below :
" That was a voiceover reference middling much . So , I mean , I would happily do it again , because it would be a minute - cap , and that would be fun , and a voice , but they did n’t sign me up for any multi - picture deal or anything like that . If they call me up , and we can reach a deal , then I ’ll do it . If they call me up , and they do n’t want to pay me , then I wo n’t . I mean , it ’s not that prominent a passel . It ’s not a tangible character to me anyway , Surtur . "
Although there ’s been no prescribed ratification from Marvel , there ’s a possibility that Surtur could make an appearance inThor : Love and Thunder . The upcomingThorfilm is set to premier in February 2022 and will see the return of many familiar faces , including Natalie Portman ’s Jane Foster . While not much is have a go at it about the moving picture ’s key plotline , it ’s plausible that there may be an chance for Surtur to come back , especially considering the demon ’s of import role in Asgardian mythology .
If Surtur really does play a part inThor : Love and Thunder , it will be interesting to see how the moving picture ends up depict the type .
